Sugar Quilt

Sugar is the tenth Moda Frivol quilt, using fabrics from The Cookie Exchange by Sweetwater. Included in this tin were the pattern, several recipe cards, and 42 7” squares. The first thing I did when I opened the tin was sort the squares into light and dark fabric. I wanted to alternate lights and darks in each block and press all the seams towards the dark side so the blocks would “click” together. I came up with several extra dark prints, but I was short one light print. I solved the problem by stealing a single light print from a different project. I’ll bet you can’t tell which one! Also included in the tin was this Robert Fulghum quote: “Think what a better world it would be if we all – the whole world – had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap.”
