There are some books that are worth reading again and again.
I find if a decade has passed between readings, the book seems completely new
to me. The book hasn’t changed, of course. I have. I’ve been thinking lately it
might be time to revisit Tolkien’s trilogy:
“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You
step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where
you might be swept off to.” – Bilbo Baggins
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said
Frodo.
"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who
live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to
decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded
gold, it would be a merrier world.” – Thorin Oakenshield
