Thankful Heart

Albert Schweitzer once said. “In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.” Woody Allen said he was thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of his nose. Jackie Kennedy said she was thankful for her children; for the opportunity to see the world again through their eyes. Mark Twain admonished us to be thankful for fools, without whom none of us would seem successful. I’m thankful for my friends and family. They drive me nuts from time to time. But then I remind myself that they’re all putting up with ME. I think it’s completely appropriate that the last thing we do before we begin celebrating the Christmas season is to take the time to count our blessings and express our gratitude. So, what are YOU thankful for?
