Quilted Treasures

I bought an ironing board cover several years ago, at a booth in a quilt show. I used to replace my cotton or Teflon cover almost every year. I don’t do all that much ironing, but the cover would inevitably get stained or scorched, and washing it had unhappy results. I’ve washed this cover several times, and it still looks good as new. It’s made of Fiberglass yarn – what firefighters and race car drivers wear – so it doesn’t burn. It reflects 95% of the heat placed on it, so I can set my iron lower and still get the job done. I wanted a small cover for the ironing board I take to quilt classes, but I haven’t seen that booth at a quilt show since I bought the first one. Finally this week I remembered the company’s name (Why isn’t it printed somewhere on the cover?) After that, finding their website was a snap: www.miracleironing.com.
