Rendezvous Quilt

A year ago I posted the blocks from Patchwork Party 2013 and asked for help deciding which finishing kit to buy. There were lots of answers, but no one design was a clear winner. Nearly every kit had two or three votes. In the end I chose “none of the above.” I wanted a design that would showcase those stunning blocks instead of camouflaging them. I added 3” gold borders around each one, effectively making them 18” blocks. Then I set them with 3” red sashing strips and gold-and-cream star posts. The top is framed with a 2” teal inner border and a 4” floral outer border. The hospital quilters did a marvelous job hand-quilting it, and it was given to a hospital volunteer. This year’s Patchwork Party blocks are nearly done, and it's time to choose a way to set them.  If you’d like to help, go to http://www.patchworkparty.com/gallery.asp and let me know which one you like.
