I don’t have many things that were once my grandma’s, but I do have her two wooden spoons. She used them so many times to make this recipe, they’re cracked and misshapen. And I wouldn’t replace them for the world.
Popcorn Balls
1 10-ounce bag miniature marshmallows (A fresh package works
best.)
Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Add marshmallows, water, and
Jell-O. Cook over medium heat until marshmallows are melted. In a large bowl
(we use a Tupperware Thatsa-Bowl), add to popcorn and stir WITH TWO WOODEN
SPOONS until completely coated. While mixture is still hot, butter hands and
shape into 8 or 9 balls, setting each ball on waxed paper to cool. Store in an
airtight container. They’re best eaten within a day or two, but that’s not
usually a problem.
