I promised myself I wouldn’t open a new Frivol tin until I’d
finished the previous month’s top. The photo I posted yesterday is the top I
made from the first tin released in August. I have batting, backing and binding
fabric to finish it, but I’m on the fence about whether to quilt it myself or
have someone else do it. It will be lots cheaper to do the work myself, but I’ll
probably be happier with someone else’s quilting. Today’s block came from tin
number two, released in September. Unlike the previous pattern, this one will
use only the 42 7” squares for the top, with no added fabric for background,
borders or sashing. Also inside the tin were a block pattern card and a quilt
label that both carried this Will Rogers quote: “Even if you are on the right
track you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”
