Checkmate

My blog has been getting a lot of attention in the past few weeks, and I’ve been fielding questions from new viewers. Here are a few answers to my F.A.Q. Yes, I really did make all the quilt blocks I’ve posted here, save one. With that one exception I gave credit where it was due. Some are from patterns in quilt books that I own, others are from books I found in public libraries. Some are part of B.O.M. (block of the month) classes, and some I’ve simply seen and reverse-engineered on my own. The fabric is 100% cotton, often from scraps left over from other projects. I finish a quilt every month or two. Some are gifts for family and friends. Some grace the beds, walls and tables of my home. Many more are donated to hospitals, wounded soldiers, cancer patients, survivors of natural disasters and families who’ve lost newborns.
