Ann and Andy

My first job was babysitting; initially tending my siblings and then my neighbors’ kids. When a new Pizza Hut opened in my town, they hired me as a hostess. I used to like the smell of yeast and oregano until I couldn’t get it out of my clothes, skin or hair. In college I worked as a janitor; a job I found surprisingly satisfying. I played in a few different rock bands, but found the hours brutal and the pay unpredictable. I learned a lot of interesting things while typing up other students’ research papers. I found I could earn pin money delivering newspapers with my toddler strapped into a seat on the back of my bike. As an apartment manager I interviewed prospective tenants, collected rent, maintained the shared laundry room, and cleaned vacant apartments. What were YOUR first seven jobs?
