Attic Windows

Buy yourself a 32-ounce spray bottle.  Pour in 1/3 cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol (surgical spirits). Fill the rest of the bottle with tap water. You’ve just made your own window and mirror cleaner at a fraction of the cost! Use this to clean all the windows in your house, starting with the kitchen. Do you have a window above your kitchen sink? Nearly every house I’ve known has had a window like that. My “sink window” in England had a view of a huge cedar tree in the front garden. I could do the washing up while watching woodpigeons search the grass for seeds and squirrels chase each other around the trunk. There was even an occasional hedgehog. These days I look out on a young English walnut tree. Maybe while I’m at the store getting a spray bottle, I should pick up a bird feeder to hang in the walnut tree.
