Thorny Puzzle



Keep-On-Hand Kebabs

1 cup catsup
2 teaspoons coarse salt
4 tablespoons A-1 steak sauce
4 tablespoons cane sugar
4 tablespoons cider vinegar
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 pounds steak (sirloin, rib-eye or tenderloin)

Place all ingredients except beef in large saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Cut beef into cubes and divide equally into two freezer bags. Pour cooled sauce over meat. Remove as much air as possible from bags and seal. Label and freeze bags. The day before you want kebabs, move a bag from the freezer to the fridge. Skewer meat alternately with:
Onions, cut in chunks
Mushrooms
Sliced zucchini or summer squash
Bell pepper chunks
Cherry tomatoes
Pineapple chunks
Grill until meat and vegetables are cooked. Serve with brown rice.
