Dog Bones

Whether or not you own a dog, you’ve probably heard they shouldn’t eat chocolate. Theobromine in dark and milk chocolate can cause seizures and even death. But would you be surprised to hear that grapes are taboo, too? I was. No one knows why, but certain breeds are prone to kidney failure if they’re fed grapes or raisins. There are other things you should never give your four-footed friend. Nuts (especially macadamias) can be very harmful; even in very small amounts. Caffeine can be fatal to dogs, so they should be kept away from coffee, tea, energy drinks and painkillers. They shouldn’t be allowed to eat peaches, plums or avocados because of cyanide and persin. Small bones can cause choking. Dogs shouldn’t eat raw eggs, meat, poultry or fish for the same reason we shouldn’t. And just like with us, eating too much sugar or fat can cause tooth decay and obesity.
