Four Triple Triangles

The AAA keeps tabs on what it costs us to drive. When they released their last report on the matter in April 2012, they determined we spend between 45 and 75 cents every time we put a mile on our odometers. Most of us don’t consider what a trip will cost us before we take it. Sure, we moan at the gas pump when it’s time to replace the gas we just used, but that’s not the same thing. When we lived in England, I didn’t drive. I frequently caught rides with generous friends who were going the same way. When I did, I’d look up the route on Google Maps, because I could also see what it cost my friends to drive me there. That way I could offer a fair amount for mileage they put on their cars as well as for the petrol. I wish Google Maps was that helpful here.
