Four French Chains

Last month a friend asked whether or not she should cut her long hair. I didn't weigh in on the subject then, but I've since given it a lot of thought. In 1 Corinthians 11:15 the apostle Paul says, “If a woman have long hair it is a glory to her.” He’s not alone. Most men will tell you they like women to wear their hair long. But men also prefer that women wear high heeled shoes and tight, revealing clothing. So their preferences probably have nothing to do with comfort or practicality. You spend more time washing, drying and setting long hair, and you spend more money on product. Long hair clogs the drain, the furnace filter and the vacuum. I’ve read serial rapists target women with long braids or ponytails. It gives them a handle to grab. Maybe less is more; she should downsize her do and donate the excess to Locks of Love.
